Frequently Asked Questions
Frugi’s E-Liquids are made with 100% Vegetable Glycerin, meaning that everything from the base mixture to the flavourings are 100% free of Propylene Glycol.
We’re different because we cater specifically to vapers who otherwise wouldn’t be able to vape due to a PG allergy, intolerance, or sensitivity, or because of dietary requirements or preferences.
Vegans, for example, find it hard to choose an E-Liquid when they can’t be certain that the vaguely-listed ingredients are free of animal products. Those who prefer to ingest only natural products have trouble finding E-Liquids without artificial additives.
Many smokers switch to vaping in order to eliminate the harsh synthetic chemicals found in tobacco, and since Propylene Glycol is entirely lab-made (and therefore always artificial), vapers with this goal in mind will find shopping for E-Liquids extremely difficult.
Frugi covers all of these bases, offering choice to those who would otherwise have none.
In short, no. Not inherently, at least. Propylene Glycol is generally recognized as safe to ingest and can be found in many consumer products like medicines, cosmetics, and pet food.
Most people can vape PG E-Liquids with no issue. But an unknown percentage of the population (researchers estimate somewhere between 1%-4%) has a PG intolerance, allergy, or sensitivity, meaning that they can’t vape E-Liquids containing PG—which, unfortunately, is currently present in most vape juices on the market. Even E-Liquids labelled as “Max VG” usually contain PG in their base mixture or flavourings, which is bad news for PG-allergic vapers.
In addition, vapers who are vegan or those who prefer to vape only natural ingredients will find that our All-Natural Range ticks every box. It’s vegan-friendly and made with only the very best natural ingredients—no hidden nastiness!
We are delighted to say that Frugi’s E-Liquids contain no known allergens whatsoever.
Our E-Liquids are completely free of nuts, milk, eggs, soy, gluten, shellfish, and all other known food allergens. So, if you have a food allergy or particular dietary requirements, you’re safe vaping Frugi’s E-Liquids.
Yes. All Frugi E-Liquids contain Ethanol.
No. These ingredients are banned from use in E-Liquids in the UK due to their known harms.
Frugi’s All-Natural Range of shortfills was designed with purity of ingredients in mind above all else. While there are far fewer flavouring options available for brewers using only natural additives, Frugi has concocted some blissfully complex blends from this smaller palette of available flavours, bringing you the best-tasting all-natural 100% VG E-Liquids out there. This range is 100% free of artificial additives, perfect those who want only the most natural ingredients in their vape juice.
For those who simply want to vape PG-Free and don’t mind a few select artificial ingredients, Frugi’s PG-Free range offers a wider array of flavour options which can’t be achieved with only natural flavourings (like custard and tobacco flavours). Vapers with a PG allergy, intolerance, or sensitivity will find a variety of flavour options where there was previously a massive gap in the E-Liquid market. Now, these PG-intolerant vapers can effortlessly enjoy vaping without having to worry about the possibility of having a reaction.
Unfortunately, due to the PACT Act of 2021, we are unable to import our E-Liquids to the US.
For E-Liquids manufactured in the UK, it’s currently not possible to have these products certified as organic. You may find some organic E-Liquids available for sale in the UK, but these ones are likely imported from the US, because the UK has a trade agreement stating that anything certified organic in America can be sold and labelled as organic here.
Because our E-Liquids are all brewed right here in the UK, we cannot claim that they’re organic—however, they’re made with 100% Vegetable Glycerin, derived from natural sources. In addition, our All-Natural Range is made with only natural ingredients, so you can rest assured that you’re getting only the purest, highest quality natural E-Liquids available here in the UK.
In truth, 100% VG E-Liquids aren’t for everyone, but many vapers will enjoy the sublime flavour of Frugi’s E-Liquids.
Aside from the above mentioned perks for marginalised vapers like the PG-allergic, vegans, and those who prefer the organic lifestyle, vaping 100% VG has other benefits.
Sub-ohm vapers, cloud chasers, and flavour junkies, for instance, will love the heavy cloud production and deep flavour in Frugi’s shortfills. Generally speaking, the higher the VG, the bigger the clouds (and the flavour)—and if this is what you’re after, you won’t find anything better than a 100% VG E-Liquid
As is the case with shortfills in general, but especially for 100% VG E-Liquids, you should be vaping these juices in a sub-ohm or advanced vape kit capable of firing at higher wattages. This is due to the viscosity of the juice.
Essentially, Vegetable Glycerin makes for thicker juices. Propylene Glycol is often added to an E-Liquid because it’s thinner in viscosity and makes for stronger throat hits.
Low-wattage devices, pod kits, and starter vape kits need higher-PG E-Liquids to function properly—otherwise, you risk leaking, coil burning, and other negative effects which will only result in the swift deterioration of your device.
Sub-ohm vape kits are the best way to use Frugi’s E-Liquids, as the lower resistance of the coils means that thicker E-Liquids (like shortfills) have a chance to fully saturate the wicking material inside the coil.
For this reason, we only recommend using Frugi’s shortfills in a kit that supports high VG blends. If you’re not sure what type of E-Liquid goes best with your kit, check the product description or user manual for your device.
